The rim is manufactured from 100% high modulus carbon fibre allowing the spokes nipples to be hidden in the rim. The alloy hex head nipple then near doubles the contact area compared to a Zipp rim for example which makes the wheels much stronger and more reliable in this vulnerable area while also improving the overall wheels aerodynamics. (Spoke spanners are supplied with wheel sets)
Both the 50 and 85mm tubular rims have whirlpool side blades. The bonus being as the rim is always turning faster than the bike is travelling the blades redirect the air flow out around the spokes reducing spoke turbulence. . In addition as your speed increases like no other rims the blades increase the wheels performance.
Laced in the X one hubs using Pillar PSR TB Aero 1422 spoke, 50mm x 24 rear (crossed twice) 270mm/272mm and 20 front (radial) 264mm. The 50mm wheel set is most suitable for road racing/triathlon, long or short course events. Average weight 1425g
