It was a perfect morning for a run - clear, crisp and there was a light breeze. And FAST members were set to give it a go in the Gold Coast marathon and 1/2 marathon events.
Oliver Lamb, in his second ever marathon, put on a show for the ages. He crossed the line in 2:45!

John Hill completed the gruelling ultradistance Comrades Marathon in South Africa on June 17. He finished among the top 700 of the more than 12,000 runners who crossed the starting line. It's a race that he's wanted to do for more than two decades and one that he trained towards by running as much as 180km a week including one 70km run.
John, president of fastgear, completed the 89 kilometre course in 7 hours and 38 minutes. His story will appear here soon.
