Goals - a sub 8-30 Ironman and to win one!!!!! Typical training u do - Typically I average 20k swimming 300-500k riding and around 100k of running a week. I am a believer of quality over quantity but in saying that training smart not flat sticker every session. Who influenced u in the sport - Mark Allen, he is the king the complete package. His Hawaii run record still stands!!!!! And of course Welchy how could you not be inspired by the little champion. best moments - It was during IM Florida ’05, it was a two lap run and I was having the run of my life just killing the 1st lap and had run myself up into 4th and fast approaching the leaders. Anyway upon returning into town at the end of my first lap Greg Welch one of my idols jumps out in the middle of the road from no where and is going nuts cheering me. I will definitely remember that for the rest of my life. Favourite food - Coffee and donuts Fav TV - That 70’s Show and the NBA basketball ( if I was 2ft taller I would be a basketballer) Longest training u ever did - Longest day was a 71/2hr ride with 30min run off and then another 1hr run in the evening. But one of the toughest I done is 100 x 100’s freestyle swimming BORING! Best mate - My wife Janelle Fav saying - “dream the life, live the dream” |
